Day 12 – Coca Cola Company Visit!

The long waited visit to the Coca Cola company is finally here! Hahas…well, it did not turn out to be what I expected, but the showcasing of the souvenirs amazed me. Hahas, my uncle is a fan of Coca cola, therefore took many of the photos to make him envy. Hahas. Unfortunately, the photos are with sebas, haven get from her due to some technical reasons. Hahas. the journey to the company was an hour plus, spent the time watching psp… kind of wasted did not appreciate the scenery (coz I was not sitting at the window side…hahas.

Luckily, when we left the factory, it happened that I took the window sit. Managed to discover sceneries you will never see in Singapore! There were farming, hmm, but did not manage to take the photos. The pictures below are some of the “scenery” you wont see in Singapore. I can tell that the life lead by the people is very carefree.

Also, we saw the MRT station? Hahas.

We went to walking street again after we left the coca cola company… went there to shop..since todae is free and easy! Lol. Had pizzahut.. argh. EXPENSIVE. Similar to Singapore-.- but, nvm. We had to ea t anyway. Li xuan took us to the underpass beside the walking street, hmm that place is equivalent to Singapore’s bugis street. Hahas A popular place for youngsters. Hahas. Got some things there.. yup.. and we went back to the walking street again to patronize a store, “FEEL 100%”. Loved this brand so much!!! Hope they can open one retail store in Singapore.!!! I will definitely support them! Hahas. Spent slight more $$ there… Sorry mum and dad, mi spending $$ again like no one business. Ops!

Left the place around 6?? And we took a ferry to cross the chang jiang (长江), hmm a 15mins ride… Was too tired to admire the scenery… but I believe there will be more chance. Anyway, lucky we took the ferry…otherwise I guess the bus transportation will be like so squeezy and long….=.= hahas. came back, have a quick bath and sam helped to pack food from the backstreet food stalls as usual…

We will be goin to stay at a hotel? Chalet? Tml! Hahas. finally!!! Hope we will get a more comfy bed and toilet… Saturaday will be water rafting? Sunday hiking? Not bring my lappy over.. So… see ya on Sunday night!

Day 11 – Behaving like a PIG. LOL.

We had IS lesson this morning… And learned some history stuffs. It was only until now that I realize the Pangu story originated from China. In addition, at different dynasty, the different area being ruled. Hahas Today’s lesson is an eye-opener for me, since I’m always curious about these issues. Xiao Ling lao shi (小玲老师) is nice enough to print out some basic routes for us to go shopping and the zoo and putting all the related information into the powerpoint slides for our convenience in doing the assignments.

We had BPE lesson after that… Hmm 3 new students sat-in todae. Yup, I realize that they are all very hardworking! OMG, you wont see this in Singapore. In addition, one thing I would like to share is the way they buy food at the canteen. Although we have been here for 1 week plus+ and already realize this… yup. Students will return the plates and bowls after they have finish eating. This is practiced in Singapore when we are in secondary schools, but not polytechnic. I wonder why we cannot carry on this habit, the present habits are making us lazy.. =.=

Anyway, came back to the room and arrange some stuffs… And I went to bed. Hahas! By then was only 3 plus. Hahas. I can now be a sleeping Buddha! Hahas. Slept till 7, believe? Hahas. People tried waking mi up at 6 plus.. but failed. LOL! Sam went out at 3 plus also… yup..so no one could open the door, the key is with mi. hahas. She came back at 6 plus… waited at benji room till I wake up..omg. so paiseh. Haha. Make her wait for long.. hahas. Sorry Sam! And thanks for buying the dinner back. Hahas!

Theres no photos today… as I did not leave the school at all...(o:

Had lunch at the new canteen again… Guess we’ll be having it there every afternoon. Hahas! Than we went to the computer shopping mall! Hahas. Wanted to buy a mp4… I saw one I really liked.. but due to some circumstances… I did not purchase it in the end. Thanks Li Xuan and her “brother” for today’s computer stuffs, though I din buy anything. Hahas! Also, we met a old man on the way to the computer shopping mall.. haha. He’s interesting. Hahas!

After that, we go to Xu Dong Jie (徐东街)…had dinner.. walk a while and came back… It was raining cats and dogs.. Resulting a super cooling weather.. hahas SHIOK!

Wanna REST! Hahas so tired (o:

Day 9 – Typical No Life Day. LOL

OMG OMG OMG! Hahas. Todae is a typical nerd life. Waking up… lucky Mr Puah is kind todae..for not being too loud… yet able to wake us up. Haha. Im beginning to appreciate the efforts! Hahas. Knowing the fact that it is goin to be difficult to wake up in the coming mornings…=.=

Went for IS lesson, rather interesting. I finally learn that wuhan is divided into 3 parts, mainly Wuchang, (hope im rite), han kou.. and han sth. Cant remember. Hahas. Next is BPE, lunch and BPE again..Mr Puah is kind enough to remind us to rest when the lesson end. He can tell that we are all restless. THANKS MR PUAH, FOR YOUR CONCERN(O:

Going back to the dorm, I fell asleep immediately for 2 hours! Hahas Than wake up for badminton… played for an hour? Yup, and when to andy’s room for dinner! Well, they cooked. It was nice! Long time no eat home-cooked food… Aw…

Day 8 – Teachers’ Day!

Today is extremely pleasant! Hahas! Time flies, we have been here for a week! Hahas. The actual lesson starts today, with Mr Puah finishing his chapter 1. Hahas! Fast eh? Tml will be chapter 2… so on and on. Cant imagine that we can actually finish the whole module in 6 weeks. (o: Lesson start at 9… Im so proud of my punctuality! Hahas mi and sam was there early, luckily the classroom is opened. Otherwise we would not be sure which one to go. Anyway, we had a friend for sit-in lesson, name daisy? Hoped I did not spell her name wrongly, unfortunately… She’s “leaving” as at around 15 sept? Yup, also hoped that she understand the lesson today. In order to let us have a better understanding on the chapter, Mr Puah used many of Singapore examples. So.. yup. Hope she can understand! Hahas.

We had lunch at the new canteen, the food was rather good… so no complaints. Hahas. Similar to the other day, we shared. Hahas Than went shopping around the school compound… I din not buy anything, thankfully. Hahas After was exercise again! Hahas.. Omg, think im getting fitter each day. OPS!

Anyway, todae’s dinner was good..! Ate at the restaurant… yup and we celebrated teacher’s day.! Hahas MR PUAH says: First time in his life.! Hahas. So wasted he did not cry, but we can see that he was rather happy. Hahas! Feel so great making everyone happy. (o:

Getting used to the life here… and things we do everyday are like rather similar.. there’s not much things to blog… Oh yes, something I learnt today, DO NOT CALL WAITRESSES XIAO JIE (小姐) it is rude and not appropriate. Instead we should call them, FU WU SHENG 服务生, a mini lecture that Mr Wong had told us (o:

Week 1 (o:

Here's a mini slideshow for the 1st week (o:

Enjoy!

*hope it wont take long to load(o:*

Ist NE MESSAGE

*posted every Sunday*
Singapore is our homeland; this is where we belong.
We treasure our heritage and take pride in shaping our own unique way of life.

Looking at the 1st week, helps mi to reflect that home is the most comfortable place. Although we have been here for 1 week, Im sure we still prefer there… But, since we are at china, we should try to adapt and “be like them”. Hahas. Singapore has a very unique way of life, similarly, china also has it. Here, at the university, the sports facilities are full! They do not have to book, whereas in sch, we need to book them hahas. Also, they do not wear short shorts, like the way we do, to play sports or exercise. We wore fbts to play sports, and do not care of wat other think of us. Is is counted as “taking pride in shaping our own unique way of like” like we do in Singapore? Hahas.

Another thing is that, in china, the people also treasure their heritage! They have about 5000 years of history and they are rather proud of it. Although Singapore only have 40+ years of history but different countries have different past and we all should be proud and take pride in shaping our own unique way of life (o:

Day 7 – Long Waited Sunday!

Mr Puah is here to wake us up again=.= hahas. Anyway, we went to the park beside the Chang Jiang called…Riverbank Park and Walking Street (Bu Xing Jie)! Hahas. The day began with a very cooling wind but it get a lil warm after tt. The riverbank park is extreme big! So much bigger than Singapore EAST COAST PARK. Hahas. There, they have those “charter bus”? to send ppl around. Can u feel how big it is? Hahas. Unfortunately, we din not manage to finish walking the whole stretch, coz we all seems to be so busy take photos at every single spot of the park-.- sometimes, I think is kind of waste of time. Lol. By the way, I think that the park would be very nice if we were to come at autumn? Or Spring! Hahas. Coz it would not be too cold or warm to take a stroll there and admire the scenery, looking at the dogs at the park, take a rest on the bench provided there. Wat a perfect plan! Hahas. Is kind of wasted that we did not finish walking it as there are so much more nicer things at the other end of the park, during the journey to the park in the bus, I can see many windmills? (did I call them correctly?) so big and colourful! Hope we’ll be able to go there some time later during this OIP…

Next we went to the Walking Street, this is similar to Singapore’s Orchard Road. Hahas. Everywhere were having sales becoz of summer clearance! Hahas. So tempting to buy them, but it was not suitable.. so.. yup. Hahas. And suitable ones were rather expensive. It was of walking distance from the park to the street, about 10 to 15 mins? Lucky it did not rain today.. otherwise it would be sooooooooo troublesome! Hahas. So, actually we spent a lot of energy walking today(o: a good exercise. Hahas. The shopping street is not as crowded as Singapore on Sundays… so we did not have to squeezeeeee. Wonder if other Sundays were like tt…Shopping for about an hour… we went to have Korean lunch. Hahsa. Wat a joke rite, at china have Korean lunch.. Well, everywhere was crowded.. so we juz have to make do with it.

After all this shoppings… we came back and exercise! Hahas omg, we are juz so healthy. hahas. Jogged 2 rounds of the campus, I guess. Hahas so tired.. and tml have lesson at 9. Have to rest earlier.. Im “drained out” by todae’s exercise... (o:

Okay, I realized I dun have the photos at the Walking Street.. shall get them from yn they all another day(o:
